Klasse S Snapsh!ts

I’ve been meaning to put a decent roll through the Klasse S to test it out, but so far all I’ve managed to use it for are party snapsh!ts with flash. At least I know the flash works?

Starting with possibly the only non-flash non-drunk non-dark shot, the usual Tri-X @ 1600. Hopefully this indicates that the camera can actually take nice shots when it’s not being abused in the dark or with drunk hands…

Snapsh!ts

Another roll of Tri-X through the Bessa @ 1600. Developed slightly different than usual – did a 5 minute pre-soak & agitated more vigorously throughout.

Introducing Yelim to the Shewee.

Snapsh!ts

Starting off with a frame from my great grandfather’s 1930s Rolleicord that my mother gave to me when I visited for Christmas a few years back. She called this her ‘contemporary’ Christmas tree.

Tri-X @ 1600 w/ full strength Xtol…

The lovely Ellen Shaw of Shawtography, performing at an exhibition/auction hosted by the university PhotoSoc.

My Xtol has been mixed for over 6 months now so I used it full strength, thus the complete & utter lack of shadow detail with pushed Tri-X…

More f/1.1 snapsh!ts

Scanned another roll, starting to get used to the workflow & how to avoid Newton’s rings; the ‘top’ 35mm row of the V600’s negative holder seems more susceptible to them than the ‘bottom’. Mix of St Andrews & a party at a friends’ place in Dundee.

Not really sure what I was going for, think maybe I was hoping the reflection would come out nicely.

Seems not everybody approves of being a subject…

…whereas others are more indifferent/bemused.

No flash, even though it looks a bit like it was.

Kinda wish it was more obvious/believable that she was looking at him…

…then him at her.

Fellow camera geek & spam aficionado, Doug.

It seems you shouldn’t push Tri-X to 1600 if you want any shadow detail.

Honestly no idea what was going on here, but I suspect it involved the kittens.

Subject isolation! On the X100…

…and on an actual person!
