November FPV Videos

Winter is fast approaching here in Scotland, limiting FPV opportunities, but we had a break from the rain today so I took full advantage & flew 2 locations in St Andrews that I haven’t tried before. Whether it was because of the new DAL T5045 V2 props I was using, or because of removing the ratchet on my Taranis throttle last night, or something completely unrelated, all 9 packs that I flew went swimmingly!

RCExplorer Tricopter v4 build

After building several miniquads I wanted something a little ‘different’ to work on, so I ordered the v4 tricopter from RCExplorer – that’s David WindestÃ¥l’s site, you might recognise him if you watch Flite Test or Rotor Riot. I figured I’d share some pictures from the build, along with my thoughts. Overall I have to say that I love the ‘copter & it’s a joy to fly, but it was definitely the trickiest build I’ve done to date (despite being the largest overall!) & it left me quite frustrated in several places.

FPV Flying (is super fun)

I’ve been out flying FPV a few times since I last posted about quads & today I feel as though I have been properly indoctrinated into the hobby – by having to fish one out of tree & finally (after 12 batteries!) properly breaking something!
