It finally happened. I lost my Clip.
To be honest I’d expected this to happen a long time ago; even though I intentionally didn’t wear it to gigs or anything like that, I never felt that the actual clip part had enough strength or grip. But then I broke that rule & wore it to Grad Ball & can only assume that it got brushed off my jacket & ended up on the floor.
Picking up just after the last post, PhotoSoc peeps taking over an after party.
Later in November Luke did that graduating thing.
After several years ‘maturing’ in our various offices, we did finally drink that unlabeled beer.
Elmer helping me work.
Hard at work chatting on IRC.
December, down to London for VRLO 3.0.
Very quick visit to Covent Garden to take a few quick photos.
Headsets everywhere for demos.
Another typical Jahangir/drinks trip.
And the day that Ruth brought mini Pusheen into my life~
I did love those lights, made for a very nice snap with the Klasse S.
Not quite London Pride…
Back at work, original Pusheen.
Union for some sort of band.
Escaped for dinner with a certain Reverend Heenan.
The mix sounded… bad. Ryo was trying to tell them diplomatically.
I was less diplomatic.
At Fiona’s place, celebrating something. Might have been this occasion.
Staying a night in Glasgow with Ruth after travelling back from a remote island.
It’s not Jahangir, but it was pretty good.
Back to the Brew Co. Just the two of us, but a careful balancing of the Clip on a bottle makes it almost look like a third person’s perspective :3
Final Jahangir trip before Luke moved from Dundee to Milton Keynes.
Important supplies for somebody moving out of their house the following morning.
The first time I met Buffy the unicorn :)
Chu Chu Rocket is serious business.
Some more up-to-date consoles are okay too, I guess.
May, another trip to London.
Picking up a Fuji X70 on a whim.
Guess where I’m going?
Yup, Above & Beyond Acoustic at the Royal Albert Hall.
That was something special.
What I might look like with my current hairstyle if I were a stylish gent.
The Clip’s final outing that got uploaded, collecting my gown on my PhD graduation day.
Lots of sitting, lots of clapping.
Was hoping to get a shot as I graduated, but alas the timing was out so I got one just before walking out onto the stage…
And then one as I was walking off the stage after graduating.
I don’t think I ever really fell into the main intended Clip demographic, of somebody that regularly shares photos on Instagram etc. But in my own way I quite liked these infrequent posts that let me look back over events during the previous few months from a more big picture perspective.
I’m not going to rush out to buy the Clip 2, as tbh life isn’t particularly interesting for me to document right now, but I’ll definitely keep a eye open to the lifelogging scene to see what developments are coming that might entice me back.
It’s been real, little Clip. Rest well.
